Topic: A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami states,
“in India even the poorest man, he knows that there is a next life. I have existed in the past, and I will exist in the future. This Vedic conclusion is known even to the poorest and illiterate man. That is, of course, is the difference between people born in the East and those born in the West.”
If Bhaktivedanta Swami understood this fact then why did he come to the West to present Krishna to all of us?
Because he was requested to do so by his spiritual master.
Krishna is not a Hindu god.
Krishna is the Supreme Lord of everything there is. In different religions he is known by different names. Jehovah, Allah, Buddha, Krishna, all names of God the Supreme Person worshipped by all people in all religions.
The name Krishna means the all-attractive person. Yes, God is a person and in the vedas there is detailed information about how He creates, maintains and ultimately destroys the material universes.
Krishna is beyond the purview of the gross material senses and the mundane people interested only in the false ego pursuit of material sense gratification and material success; they cannot perceive Him.
For such egotistical people there is no knowledge of the transcendental nature of the Supreme Person due to their mundane outlook on human life.
To understand the transcendental nature of God Krishna tells us it is only possible through devotional service. This is the true art of living as taught by the pure Devotee of Krishna A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami in his translation of the scripture known as the Bhagavad Gita. His explanation of the true meaning of this great Indian literature sparked the spreading of Krishna consciousness worldwide. He is now known as the greatest exponent of Krishna consciousness in the history of the earth planet.
These statements are facts not dreams about him and his work but people living in this dream life of materialism are disqualified due to their own closed minds to understand these truths.
